1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Milk & Honey, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app or website.
2. Eligibility and the service
Milk & Honey provides Scripture-centered meditation, reflection, encouragement, and related digital content, tools, features, subscriptions, offerings, and services for personal, non-commercial use. You must be at least 13 years old, or old enough to use the service in your jurisdiction with any required parent or guardian involvement, to use Milk & Honey.
We may add, remove, test, update, improve, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time, including features, integrations, subscription offerings, content, availability, or supported platforms. We do not guarantee that every feature, integration, or piece of content will always be available.
Certain features, content, promotions, subscriptions, or offerings may be subject to additional terms, disclosures, eligibility rules, or guidelines that are presented to you when you use them. Those supplemental terms become part of these terms to the extent they apply to your use of the relevant feature or offering.
3. Accounts and guest mode
Some Milk & Honey features may be available without an account, while others may work best or only work when you sign in or maintain an active subscription. If you create or use an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information, to use only sign-in methods you are authorized to use, and to notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Milk & Honey may offer paid, free, trial, promotional, limited-access, or subscription-based features, content, or offerings. Purchases, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are generally handled by the app store platform through which you subscribed, unless we clearly tell you otherwise for a particular offering.
- Subscription terms, features, and pricing may be shown in the app before purchase.
- Auto-renewal, billing timing, cancellation, and refund rules may be governed by Apple or Google platform terms.
- Deleting your Milk & Honey account does not automatically cancel App Store or Google Play subscription billing.
- You can manage or cancel an active subscription through the mobile app store platform you used to subscribe.
- We may change, add, remove, or restructure features, offerings, plans, trials, promotions, or pricing prospectively, but any change will not retroactively alter a purchase already completed.
- You are responsible for reviewing the billing terms presented to you at the time of purchase.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service in a way that violates applicable law or infringes the rights of others.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service or related systems.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or exploit the service except as permitted by applicable law.
- Use the service for harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes.
- Bypass, disable, or work around subscription, feature-access, or security controls.
- Use Milk & Honey content in a way that violates third-party translation licenses, attribution requirements, or other applicable rights.
6. Third-party services and platform terms
Milk & Honey may integrate with third-party services, vendors, and platforms, including Apple, Google, mobile app stores, hosting or infrastructure providers, authentication providers, support or communications tools, email or messaging apps, and social or sharing services. Your use of those third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
If you download or use the iOS version of Milk & Honey through Apple's App Store, Apple's standard licensed application terms apply to the app software license unless a separate custom Apple EULA is provided for that version of the app.
Backup, restore, sync, migration, and similar continuity features may depend on third-party platform or cloud services, account status and settings, network availability, storage limits, provider availability, and device configuration. We do not guarantee that synced or backed-up data will always be available, current, complete, or recoverable.
7. Intellectual property and limited license
The Milk & Honey app, website, branding, design, and original content are owned by Milk & Honey or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not give you ownership of the service or its content.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use Milk & Honey for your personal, non-commercial use. Some scripture translations, media, and other content or materials are licensed from third parties and remain subject to their attribution and use restrictions.
Milk & Honey's built-in sharing, export, save, or similar features are intended for personal use and personal sharing. They do not grant you a right to mass reproduce, republish, sell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit app content or service outputs except as expressly permitted by applicable law or written permission.
8. Disclaimers
Milk & Honey is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Milk & Honey is intended for spiritual reflection and encouragement. It is not medical, mental health, counseling, crisis-response, or emergency service, and it is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, or urgent assistance.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Milk & Honey and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of Milk & Honey and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, service providers, and contractors for all claims arising out of or relating to the service or these terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Milk & Honey for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $50.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service or a portion of it. You may stop using the service at any time.
If you delete your Milk & Honey account, account data we control may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy, but active store-managed subscription billing remains governed by the relevant app store platform until you cancel it there.
11. Other legal terms
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
You may not assign or transfer these terms or your rights under them without our consent. We may assign these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and other protective terms.
These terms and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Milk & Honey will be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you and Milk & Honey agree that any such dispute, claim, or controversy will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Milk & Honey consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
These terms, together with any policies or supplemental terms expressly referenced here or presented in connection with particular features or offerings, such as our Privacy Policy, form the agreement between you and Milk & Honey regarding your use of the service.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice before the updated terms become effective, such as through the app, website, or email where appropriate. Your continued use of Milk & Honey after updated terms become effective means you accept those changes.
